I booked and convinced friends to rent 7 other trailers

I love this place. I booked and convinced friends to rent 7 other trailers. I had been there once but everyone else had not. It was hard to describe it to them as they just had to experience for themselves. They all loved it too. We met the couples staying in the other trailers and everyone had a great time. Everyone kept saying how they couldn't wait to go back. I stayed in the Sideshow and it was great having a bathroom and shower. We were able to cook breakfast for everyone and bbq dinner. From the arcade in an ice cream truck, to the mini library, every single thing about this place is wonderful. It was a bit chilly in Feb. , but bringing extra blankets and firewood helped and hanging out in the teepee with the firepit kept us warm.

I looked here on yelp, and the most bizarre place came up when I looked

After discovering the Noah Purifoy Art thing, I assembled a decent list of things to do out in Joshua Park. I decided I needed a place to stay out in Joshua Tree. I looked here on yelp, and the most bizarre place came up when I looked. A Collection of trailers, each themed in a unique and different way, and each available to rent for an evening or more. I quickly decided that I needed to stay here. It was unique, it was interesting, it was odd. Right up my alley. So I booked a trailer. The last trailer remaining for the night I was planning was of course, the most expensive one they had. The Sideshow. At $250 a night, I did wince a bit when I pulled the proverbial trigger to book the night. A bit of research did reveal that the Sideshow was one of three trailers with their own bathrooms. The rest of them have to share a communal bathroom. So...there is that. Heads up: The last mile or so of the directions is a sandy unpaved road. Don't worry; if a camaro with fancy italian racing tires can make it, then your ride can too. While there's a light directly over the place, there's ZERO lights for that sandy mile. So...I'd advise getting there while the sun is still up, and if you're going to go out, be back before the sun goes down. I arrived at three in the afternoon just to play it safe. I was warmly greeted and welcomed by the owner and then given the grand tour of the place. They've got plenty of amenities and fun stuff to do. Free arcade machine, fire pit, tables, pool, hot tub, ping pong table, and some fridges where you can store your stuff. They've even got a teepee for your pow-wows with your friends. There's also a wifi bubble that reaches throughout most of the place. Although, it's kinda spotty inside the Sideshow. They'll even mail out postcards if you write them. The Sideshow was absolutely great. The inside was just as odd as the outside. Sideshow themed items decorated the walls, and a copy of the 1932 film Freaks sat in the small collection of carnival themed DVD's. I reveled in the ability to wake up in the middle of the night and pee without crossing the distance to the communal toilet. I didn't even have to put my pants on. So the place was great. The other trailers were rented by a dude who was celebrating his 40'th birthday party with all his college friends. Happy Birthday Joe! So ya. Thanks Hicksville, I'll definitely keep this place in mind for future and wacky roadtrip adventures in your neck of the woods.
