Frequently Asked Questions

Am I allowed to bring any type of speakers?

We do not allow any personal speakers, boom boxes, radios, etc. as we have a jukebox on site for our guests to enjoy. If you’ve rented the entire property, you can connect via bluetooth to our sound system to play your own selection of music.

Can I bring my Dog? Or my other pets?

We are very dog friendly, but we do not allow other types of pets. We allow dogs in every trailer except The Fifi and The Sweet. We allow up to 2 dogs per trailer. We have a weight limit of up to 25lbs/dog in our smallest trailers: The Pony, The Pioneer & The Lux, and there is no weight limit in the other trailers. You must also read our dog policies and sign off that you understand and agree to them.

Do we have a fridge in the trailers?

Yes, all the trailers have mini fridges except The Sweet. We also have 2 regular size fridges in the communal area with labeled space for each trailer. If you rent the entire property, you also have additional cooler space in the bar cart.

Do you have a full kitchen?

The bigger trailers have full kitchens: Sideshow, New World, Skipper, & Project Z (Kitchenette). We also have a communal charcoal grill, toaster and microwave.  We also have dishes, drinkware, silverware, cooking utensils, pots and pans.

Is the rooftop hot tub open all year?

Yes It is open year round, weather pending. If there is a wind warning it will be inaccessible. It's open from 5pm until Midnight.

Who can use the amenities on the property?

Our amenities are only for the use of our guests, and we have no options for amenity use without booking a stay in one of our trailers.

Is there a Wi-Fi?

There is wifi in Hicksville, however, as we are located in a desert, we can not assure a super-fast reliable connection. The internet is strongest close to the main purple house, we also have range extenders throughout the property. The wifi does not reach Project Z.

Do I bring my own alcohol?

Hicksville is BYOB. We have a bar trailer you can rent for $75/night, it has a keg-o-rator where you can connect your own Keg and extra bottle storage/coolers, blender etc.

Is there food on site?

We have snacks and drinks available in the vending machine but we highly recommend you bring in food to eat/cook on site or dine out at one of the local restaurants. Since Hicksville is off a dirt road we do not get food delivery services.

Are there grocery stores close by?

About 20 mins away in Yucca Valley there’s a Stater Bros and a Vons grocery store. There are also restaurants in the area like Pie for the People, The Joshua Tree Saloon, La Palapa, The Dez, The Roadrunner Grab and Go, Pappy and Harriet’s, and Kitchen in the Desert.

Do you have an Ice Machine? Where to buy ice?

We do have a communal ice machine, however it only has the capacity to produce enough ice for drinks. If you need to fill a cooler, you can buy ice from The Mesa Market at 3254 Yucca Mesa Rd

Do you have coffee?

We have a Keurig coffee machine in our communal area with a large variety of K-Cups for sale or you are also welcome to bring your own. We also have cold brew coffee available for purchase in the vending machine.

Can I hook up my own rv/trailer?

We are a vintage trailer motel, not a campground. We do not allow any outside trailers, RV’s, tents or camping gear on the property.
